We host dance lessons at the Scott Block Theatre in downtown Red Deer. The address is 4816 50 Ave, Red Deer, AB, T4N 1S9. It’s located on Little Gaetz Ave.

Most of the time, we host social dance lessons at the Scott Block Theatre in downtown Red Deer. We sometimes host in alternate venues, which will be communicated in the marketing for the dance.

In the summer from May-August, social dances are held at Shackehlicious Food Truck every other Wednesday evening. More info can be found about this below.

There is street parking on Little Gaetz Ave, in front of the building, and on the surrounding streets. It is free after 4:30pm on weekdays and on weekends.

2) Register at the door upon arrival. Arrive 10-15 minutes before the first lesson starts and we can get you signed up right there. We accept cash, credit and debit payments.

2) Register at the door upon arrival. If you’d like to take part in the beginner lesson (included in admission), arrive between 7:15-7:30pm. If you’re just coming for the dance, arrive between 8:30-9:30pm and we can get you signed up right there. We accept cash, credit and debit payments.

If you are new to dance, swing dance or lindy hop specifically, start with Beginner Lindy Hop. This is a great introduction to the style of dance and the music we dance to.

For Beginner lessons, it’s best to attend all 6 lessons or only miss one. This is because the content really builds from week to week and if you miss more than one, you may get behind the rest of the class.

For Intermediate lessons, it’s recommended to attend all or most of the lessons, but it’s more feasible to catch up if you miss a few weeks of the set.

Drop-in pricing is available if you know you won’t make the entire set.

Drop-in pricing is NOT AVAILABLE for Beginner lessons. This is because it’s best to attend all 6 lessons in the set, or only miss one. The content really builds from week to week and if you miss more than one, you may get behind the rest of the class.

Drop-in pricing is AVAILABLE for Intermediate and Advanced lessons. It is typically $12 per class. Drop-in payments are only accepted at the door, not online.

Clothes - whatever you feel comfortable to move in. Folks come in everything from casual dresses to T-shirts and jeans to athletic wear.

Shoes - please wear INDOOR SHOES you feel comfortable to move in. In this style on dance it’s best to have a little bit of slide on the dancefloor, so don’t bring your “grippiest” shoes.
